FABRIANO: Fabriano 1264 Taking Flight
Using 5 different types of Fabriano 1264 papers, test a variety of materials and mediums ideal for each surface. Each paper type will become a dragonfly wing, letting your creativity fly free. Try drawing and sketching with charcoal, graphite and colored pencils on 1264 Sketch, use multimedia techniques with acrylic and ink on 1264 Mixed Media, get graphic with 1264 Bristol Smooth and Vellum, and see how 1264 Watercolor responds to your washes of color. While you're constructing your dragonfly, learn about Fabriano's environmentalism and why their river will always be a safe haven for these important creatures. Once you have finished your dragonfly, hang it above your 1264 range to showcase the versatility of these papers in your store. Do your customers think screen printing with the photo emulsion method is too intimidating or has too many steps? Then you must attend this demonstration. Speedball Speed Screens allow creatives to skip the mixing, the coating or the dry time and go right from design to print. The Speedball team will take you through the steps of exposing the screen and washing it out to printing. Next, experience pulling a print from your very own pre-exposed Speed Screen. You’ll be amazed by how easy and fast Speed Screens are to use.
